As we begin this holiday season, I encourage you to take time out of your busy schedule and mentor someone who needs support and a lending hand. This is the best gift ever and one that will be cherished for the rest of their lives.
When you do mentor someone consider using these suggestions:
Invest time with the mentee every week.
Listen first. Then respond.
Share with them a fresh perspective.
Follow up on their questions that they have.
Be patient and guide them in more than one area of their life.
Build their confidence. Tell them that they can do it.
